I’m Nicole Dimt, a 26-year-old artist born and raised in Toronto, Canada.
I hold a BFA with a minor in Art History and specialization in acrylic painting from York University, where I graduated in 2022. I am currently working at TLG, (The Local Gallery) as a fine art gallery assistant.
My work lives in the space between recognition and curiosity. Each painting explores wonder, joy, and the activation of a child-like imagination through bold acrylic colour and playful form.
Rooted in curiosity, nostalgia, and lighthearted peculiarity, my paintings are unified by a heavily saturated palette and fearless line work. I depict people and objects that invite viewers to reconnect with a sense of awe, celebrating the moments that once made our eyes widen and our inner child feel alive.
